WHO

Cadiz, Inc., a company backed by foreign investors, has tried for decades to extract and sell water from the California desert and generate profit for its shareholders.

WHERE

The proposed Cadiz water project site is located in the heart of Mojave Trails National Monument, between the Mojave National Preserve and Joshua Tree National Park.

WHAT

This project would drain billions of gallons of water each year from the Mojave Desert aquifer, harming wildlife and springs that are sacred to Native American Tribes.

HOW

Cadiz, Inc. is working closely with the current federal administration to greenlight a permit to transport water out of the desert, including selling it to other states.
